Extreme Short Throw Projectors (EST) often referred to as Ultra Short Throw Projectors (UST) require a flat screen such as a projection whiteboard or a fully tensioned surface with a fixed frame screen to operate at its maximum potential. If you use a standard screen with these any slight imperfection will cause shadowing and may even curve the image due to the nature of the lens. The common use for these are high end home cinema where the projector sits just in front of the fixed frame screen on a cabinet and in training or classrooms mounted to the wall above a projection whiteboard. They can also be used at sales conventions or events for rear projection when combined with a fast fold screen. If you need any advice please call and we will be happy to help.
