The PFM-42V1N is controllable with the supplied RM-971 remote control unit or via RS-232C interface. Via the On Screen Menu (OSD) the control buttons on the Monitor (including the Power Button) can be disabled so that nobody can alter your settings or switch of the monitor.

- High Performance Scan Converter.
The new Scaling chip for the resolution conversion ensures the optimum image quality. The chip will match the input signal to the Plasma Panel with the result of high quality, fluid images.

- Built-in audio amplifier and optional speakers.
The PFM-42V1N is equipped with a revolutionary digital Audio Amplifier for clear and distinguished Audio reproduction. With the SS-SP20B Speaker (optional) Sony delivers a small size speaker with a great sound, that can be directly attached to both sides of the Flat Panel Monitor.
